Living trends autumn/winter 2024

We recently went to Trendz, the best autumn/winter fair of the year. As always, it was a feast for the senses, with endless rows of inspiring stands full of new ideas and creations. This event was the first for us and where we gained a lot of new creative energy and discovered the latest trends that will determine our interiors in the coming seasons.

As soon as we entered the fair, we were greeted kindly and we each received our badge with name and we were amazed at how beautifully the fair was laid out. We were able to see their latest items shine at 300 brands, but we were also able to attend various master classes. We have certainly done this so that we are aware of all the latest developments.

This fall the palette is rich and versatile, with both familiar and surprising shades stealing the show. Natural colors continue to play a prominent role. Beige, taupe and black – these earthy tones provide a calm, harmonious basis in any interior. They radiate peace and simplicity and form a solid background against which other elements can shine.

Yet it was striking to see how the colors we traditionally associate with autumn and winter – such as emerald green, gold and silver – were excitingly combined with vibrant and bold shades. Bright pink, orange and purple were everywhere. These colors bring a playful and energetic element to the mix, perfect for anyone who isn't afraid to stand out.

One of the things that struck us most during Trendz was how the bolder colors, like bright pink and orange, were not only used as accent colors, but sometimes also the played a leading role. Entire rooms dressed in these shades gave a fresh, modern yet warm feeling, something you would not expect from such bright colors in autumn and winter. Purple, a color that always carries a certain mystique, was often combined with silver or gold accents, adding a sense of luxury and sophistication.

But while these bold colors are gaining more and more ground, natural colors such as beige and taupe continue to offer a safe haven for those who prefer a subdued and timeless interior. The trick is to combine these earthy tones with a splash of the more vibrant colors to find a balance that suits your style. For example, think of a calm taupe background with bright pink cushions, or an emerald green sofa with orange accessories. This play of contrasts creates a dynamic and lively space that still remains warm and inviting.

The organic shapes also keep coming back, such as in trays, benches and tables. This is to give your home more warmth and atmosphere.

It was inspiring to see how this fall and winter's trends are developing. Whether you choose a classic palette of natural tones or a bold mix of bright colors, the most important thing is that your interior remains a reflection of your personality. Trendz has once again shown us that there are no fixed rules; it's about creating an atmosphere in which you feel at home.

We have returned full of inspiration and new ideas and can't wait to get started with the beautiful colors and materials we saw on Trendz. The autumn and winter of 2024/2025 promise to be stylish, lively and, above all, very personal.

Here's a look at our day at the fair.
